Race'n Page

Welcome Race Fans!

Well, I guess if you've been to my model car page you figured out who I pull for in NASCAR. If you haven't been to the model car page then I'll tell ya its "The Man", Dale Earnhardt.

I've been keepin up with NASCAR for about 6 or 7 years now and I've always pulled for Dale.I was at Rockinham when he clinched his seventh Winston cup Championship. That was one of my favorite trips to the races. Right after the race, Dale rode around the track on the back of a convertible camaro. A few people were booing and hissing but most were right up against the fence taking pictures and cheering. I sure dished out some crow for other racers fans to eat! That was great!

No matter who ya pull for though, you have to respect all of the guys out there. They run bumper to bumper at 200 MPH for 3 to 5 hours most every Sunday for 9 months out of the year. They gotta be tough! I will add some more about Nascar later but its time to move on to the Big Boys:

Go Joe Amato!
I enjoy going to the Winston Invitational Drag Races at Rockinham. If you have never been to that (or any NHRA event), you need to go. It is ACTION PACKED! as we like to say here in Duncan, NC.
When those Top Fuel Dragster's smack the gas it is unreal. It seems like the whole world shakes. Your eyes fuzz up, your chest shakes, the concrete stands shake, and the hot dog you just woofed down might decide it wants to witness the action also!

If your thinking to yourself, "We'll I've seen it on TV before", let me tell ya, TV cant do it justice. Were talkin about cars that make around 7000 horsepower (yes, 7000, its not a type-o) and go from 0 to 320 mph in less than 5 seconds. It's all the camera man can do to keep up with it. And they haven't made a sound system for a TV that sounds that good.
So, anyway, if ya get a chance goto one of the NHRA events.

Go PROFESSOR!
