Well, I guess this has to be the biggest change to the Hammers House website. Seeing as how it has been about 4 years since I updated this site, explains why there was not a Ham radio page to begin with. I got my ham ticket about 2 years ago which was the technician ticket, then about 6 months later I upgraded to general then about 3 more months I upgraded to the extra class ticket. But during the first few months of having my ham ticket came the highlight of my ham activities.... I JOINED THE JARS CLUB!!!!! I have enjoyed every minute of it too. It is very fun to be a part of it all. Especially with things like the "Lid of the month" and the JARSFEST with the JARSBURGERS. It is a great club. If you are in the central North Carolina area, tune in your scanners to the "OFFICIAL BLOWTORCH OF THE JARS, 27 AK4H REPEATER" which is on 147.27 Mhz and give us a listen to. We have a ragchew net every night at 8:30 PM and a traders net every Wednesday night at 9:00. Swing by and give us a listen to, and if you have a valid ham ticket, we would love for you to join us.
